Wynell Gentry Perkins Redfearn went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2025.  She was a devout Baptist who found joy in teaching Sunday school and children's choir, playing piano and organ, and serving on committees.

Wynell was born and raised in Colbert, OK and graduated from Colbert High School in 1955.  She moved to Dallas to attend Draughon's business college for secretarial training.  She married James Perkins and had two daughters.  The family moved to Plano in 1976.  Wynell worked as a realtor in the Plano area from the late 70's through the 90's.  She and James then ran their family-owned business until his death in 2016.  She married Hal in 2021 and was warmly welcomed into his large family.

She was an enthusiastic homemaker who enjoyed furnishing and decorating her 100-year-old Queen Anne home.  She had many beloved cats in her life.  Wynell loved playing the piano and organ, and she was Elvis's biggest fan.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Hal Redfearn, daughter Patti Perkins Deutsch (Steve), grandsons Michael and John Deutsch, and many friends and family.

She was preceeded in death by her parents Elna Weger and Raymer Gentry, her husband James Perkins, daughter Beth Perkins, brothers John Allen Gentry and Raleigh Glenn Weger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Honey Grove, 410 Hickory St., Honey Grove, TX  75446

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, 2:00 P.M. at American Funeral Service Chapel, 4312 W. Crawford, Denison, TX.  Family and friends visitation will be one hour prior to service, beginning at 1:00 P.M.  Interment will be at Garden of Memory Cemetery, Colbert, Oklahoma.
