William "Sonny" Ewing III, 88, of Gainesville, TX passed away peacefully on 11/2/24 with loved ones by his side.

Sonny was born on 1/18/36 in Dallas, TX to Bertha and William Ewing. He was raised in Dallas, where he attended Crozier Tech high school before graduating from North Texas State University.  Just before graduating high school, Sonny met Romilda "Mickie" Ewing on a blind date, and the two were married before he started college classes.  Sonny had a passion for students and used that passion coaching PE in Dallas ISD.  Following his education career, Sonny owned and operated a par three golf course and driving range with his sons and spent his spare time on the golf course with friends and family.

Sonny is survived by his son Kenneth, daughter Carol, grandkids William, Sarah, Nathan, and Aubrey as well as several great grand kids.

Sonny is preceded in death by his wife Romilda "Mickey" Ewing, dad William Ewing Jr, mother Bertha Ewing and Son William Ewing IV.
