Wanda Raye Sapper, age 86, of Sherman, TX, was called to her heavenly home to be with the Lord with her husband at her side on November 22, 2025, at the Homestead of Denison.

Wanda was born on March 24, 1939, in Washington, NC to George and Ridie Jarvis. She married Tom on January 21, 1956, in Morehead City, NC.

Wanda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and devoted believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

She was a long-time active member of Grace Bible Church in Sherman, Texas and enjoyed the fellowship of fellow believers in Jesus Christ. She taught all ages of Sunday School at West Craig Road Baptist Church in Las Vegas, NV. She also took numerous children on church related outings. She had a heart for the elderly and provided hospitality in her home on holidays and special occasions. She ministered in nursing and convalescent homes and also served with Billy Graham Evangelistic Ministry.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Tom Sapper of Sherman Texas; her daughter Susan Urben (husband Larry) of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter Rachel Halderman (husband Kyle); granddaughter Sarah Sayre (husband Daniel); grandson Zack Urben (wife Jenna); and four great grandchildren.

A family viewing will be held at Grace Bible Church, 4670 North Loy Lake Road, Sherman

Texas from 9-10am on Wednesday morning. The graveside service will be at 10:20am at the Pavilion at West Hill Cemetery, 1304 West Lamar, Sherman Texas. The memorial service will begin at 11am at Grace Bible Church, Sherman, Texas.
