Vernon Don Davis, age 80, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025 in Sherman, Texas. He was born on February 26, 1945, at Laird Memorial Hospital in Kilgore, Texas.

Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He shared 60 loving years of marriage with his wife, Pat Davis, of Kingston, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life full of family, faith, and cherished memories.

Born in Kilgore and raised in Liberty City, Don was known for his strong work ethic and down-to-earth character. He spent his entire career in construction, where his hands helped shape homes, businesses, and communities.

Don had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was fishing on a quiet lake or hunting in the woods, he felt most at peace in nature. Above all, Don treasured time spent with his family — his greatest source of pride and joy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat, his sister Vernell Allen, two sons, Jimmy and Keith Davis; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who will carry on his legacy of kindness and resilience.

A celebration of Don's life will be held at a later date. Details will be announced soon, and all who knew and loved Don are welcome to attend.

He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his strength, warmth, and the love he gave so freely.
