Obituary

Timothy Doyle Reeves, 65, of Sherman, TX passed away peacefully on October 27th, 2024 with loved ones by his side.

Tim was born on June 1, 1959 in Denison, TX to Leonard and Gertrude Reeves. After graduating from Colbert high school in 1977 he began his career in electrical and mechanical maintenance at Folgers. He spent the longest length of his career at Ruiz Foods in Denison, TX where  he made many friendships over his 18 years working there. He loved all of his coworkers like family.

Tim married the love of his life, Tammie, on October 7, 1988. They recently celebrated 36 wonderful years of marriage and exemplified a one true love. They raised three children together, Jamie, Shelbie and Zach.

Tim had a passion for fishing and went any chance he could. He taught his children how to fish from an early age and went on to teach his grandchildren the same. Tim also loved baseball and spent many years of his life coaching little league for his children. He enjoyed teaching his grandkids how to play baseball later in life.

Tim's most cherished ones in his life were his grandchildren. If asked, they would say he was the best Pops in the world. He was silly, fun and loved to make them laugh. He loved them more than anything, and he made sure they knew it each and every day.

Tim was known for always having a story to tell, and you rarely heard the same story twice. He loved to sit and tell you about his life and all of the crazy and funny things he had witnessed in his 65 years. He was also known for being the repair man of all things around the house. He could fix anything that needed fixing. He loved playing poker with his friends and the words "let's go to Choctaw" were spoken often by Tim. Anywhere he went, he was sure to see someone he knew and could get caught up for hours in conversation. He never met a stranger and was friends with everyone.

Tim was an amazing and selfless man with a kind heart. He always put his family and friends before himself. You could count on him for anything, at any time, no matter who you were. He was a rare treasure in this world and will be missed immensely by everyone that was lucky enough to know him.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Reeves and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Tim is survived by his Mother, Gertrude Reeves, his wife Tammie Reeves of 36 years, son Chris Reeves and wife Laura, son Jamie Reeves and wife Tiffany, daughter Shelbie Boatner and boyfriend Terry Kasper, and son Zach Reeves and wife Brittany. He leaves behind his ten beloved grandchildren Jakob, London, Karlie, Kinlee, Christian, Zoie, Henry, Lane, Kyler and Jackson. His eleventh grandchild is due in January, and he couldn't wait to meet her.

Tim also leaves behind his four sisters, Marilyn and husband Bryan, Debbie, Cindy and husband Denny, Jennifer and husband Toby, his brother in law Jimmy Hutson and wife Courtney and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and countless friends who all held a very special place in his heart.

Family night will be held Monday, November 4th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at American Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Burney in Colbert, Oklahoma.
