Beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed on to Eternal Life with her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus Friday, August 30, 2024.

In life she cherished family and friendships above all. Her heart was as big as the state of Texas and she was a humorous free spirit, "a friend to all, stranger to none"...always generous, selfless, loyal, and quite artistic.  First and foremost, she loved time spent with her late husband and family - especially time with her grandsons, whom she adored. She also enjoyed cooking (always an excellent hostess), watching movies, reading, road trips, and a hot cup of tea.

Susan will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  We wholeheartedly embrace knowing that she is free - no more tears, no more physical pain for our mom, our Mimi, our sister, our Susie.

Preceded in death by her husband and companion of 40 years, Ken Fort (Hawkins Tx), parents - Barbara McCoy Clark (Dallas Tx) and Scott T Clark (Whitesboro Tx),  father-in-law - JC Fort (Tyler Tx).  She is survived by her sons - Kyle Logan Fort (Bremen, Germany) and Eric Thomas Fort & wife Ashlie (Collinsville Tx), daughter - Sara Elizabeth Skinner & husband Jake (Van Alstyne Tx).  Grandsons - Jaxson Clarkson, Hunter Fort, Wyatt Rice, Easton Fort, Viktor Skinner, Jayce Fort.  Brother - Brady Clark & wife Mary (North Richland Hills Tx), sister - Lisa Clark-Dwyer & husband Eddie (San Antonio Tx).  Mother-in-law - Mrs. Bessie Taylor (Hawkins Tx).  Sister-in-law - Kathy Mordue and nephews Robert Ford, Jon Ford (Hawkins Tx).  Numerous beloved cousins throughout Texas and Oklahoma. And her loving dog, Bear.

LIFE CELEBRATION MEMORIAL has been scheduled for September 14, 2024 at 11 am at Hawkins First United Methodist Church, 229 W. Blackbourn St., Hawkins, TX 75765.
