Sherry Lynn
Ozmun
Dec 27, 1971 — Aug 19, 2024
Pottsboro
Sherry Ozmun transitioned from this life to her eternal home on Monday August 19, 2024.
Sherry Lynn Ozmun was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Irwin Ross Ozmun, III and Dianne Elizabeth Eyring Ozmun on December 27, 1971. Sherry was the third sibling in the family at this time. The first child, Irwin Ross Ozmun, IV, died following child birth. Sherry was 52.
Sherry lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, West Monroe, Louisiana, Russellville, Arkansas, Brea, California, and Diamond Bar, California. During her middle years the bulk of her schooling included Antioch, California and Sacramento, California where she graduated. She participated in Soccer, Volleyball, diving, and Basketball. From there she went on to graduate from Sacramento State University with a degree in Interior Design (Industrial Construction Emphasis).
Sherry's early career began with selling Structural Construction components to Home Depot locations in Northern California. She excelled in the venture but quickly found that career advancement in those days was pretty much a man's route upward. But Sherry always had an eye for fashion so she launched out on her own by selling women's clothing on the internet. Her internet address was "So-Savvy." She had a knack for finding bargain deals from major retailers where she bought new merchandise at extremely low discounts. She focused on a young age demographic and size range. The bulk of her career in this venue was hugely successful until the retailers realized they had overlooked this secondary market of on-line business. So her market eventually became very crowded. In spite of that she continued selling merchandise her whole career. Eventually she moved into phone sales for over a dozen years as her major source of support.
Sherry went to Italy for her High School senior trip. After that she developed a passion for travel. With her internet business she had the means to travel and that she did. She went fearlessly any where she wanted anytime she wanted. She always made new connections and new friends everywhere she went. The legacy of her life is truly characterized by her friend circle and the good times they had together!
Sherry is survived by her Mother: Dianne Elizabeth Eyring Jarvis; Father: Irwin Ross and Kathryn Ozmun; Sister: Stacey Gwyn and Kyle Finch; Brothers: Shane Christopher and Andrea Ozmun and Spencer Lyle and Kate Ozmun; Eight Nieces and Nephews that she adored: Kade Finch, Brinley Finch, Brooke Finch, Kannon Finch; Ava Ozmun and Logan Ozmun; Zoey Ozmun and Lizette Ozmun. They all loved their "Auntie Sherry!" Whenever she was around, it was "party time – big time!" We will all miss our "Fun Loving Sherry!"
