Scotty Don
Montgomery
Jul 1, 1971 — Jun 29, 2026
Colbert
Scotty Don "Scott" Montgomery was born on July 1, 1971, in Denison, Texas, to Brenda and Paul Montgomery. He passed away on June 29, 2026.
Throughout his life, Scott was known for his love of fast cars, fishing, and the lifelong friendships he treasured. Most of all, he was known for the deep love he had for his family—whether by blood or by choice. His generous heart, loyal spirit, and ability to make everyone feel welcome left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Gina Montgomery; his daughter, Katelyn McBride and husband Byron of Durant, Oklahoma; his sons, Carter Montgomery and wife Jaime of Colbert, Oklahoma, and Tanner Hoaglan and wife Shayla of Hendrix, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his siblings, Kim Bilbrey and husband Randy, Brad Montgomery and wife Tammy, and Cecily Raymundo and husband Adeelmo, along with their families; his aunt Karen Isom; and many cherished friends who were like family to him.
One of Scott's greatest joys was being "Pepaw" to his eight grandchildren: Breckyn Brown, Wryker Montgomery, Halo Scotti Montgomery, Lawsyn Don McBride, Christopher Hoaglan, Ava-Jean Hoaglan, Waylon Hoaglan, and Michael Hoaglan. He was incredibly proud of each of them and loved every moment spent with his grandbabies.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Brenda Montgomery; his oldest granddaughter, Elizabeth Hoaglan; and his uncle, Kenneth Isom.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at his residence. Family and friends are invited to gather to share stories, memories, laughter, and love as they celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many.
The family welcomes all who knew and loved Scott to join them in honoring his memory and celebrating a life well lived. ❤️
