Sandra Kay Barnes, age 74, of Sherman, TX, passed away peacefully at Medical City of McKinney, on Thursday, November 23, 2023.  Sandra was born on July 18, 1949 in Denison, TX, to R.W. & Evelyn Scoggins.  She was a High School graduate of Denison High School and also attended college and attained an associate degree. She married Jamie Barnes.  She was self-employed and formerly worked as a hair stylist. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband; Jamie Barnes of Sherman, TX, her son; Brian McLinsky & Alison of Sherman, TX, her sister; Janice Conner of Sherman, TX, her brother; Ronald Wayne Scoggins & Sandra of Lindale, TX, four grandchildren; Ashley, B.T., Zachary, Katelyn, other extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; R.W. & Evelyn Scoggins.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, 2:00 P.M. at American Funeral Service Chapel, Denison, TX with Danny Wood officiating.  Family and friends visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1:00 P.M.
