Samuel Otis
Wallace
Apr 1, 1959 — Jun 18, 2024
Denison
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Dad, Samuel Otis Wallace. Otis left this world on June 18, 2024, at his home in Denison, Texas.
Otis was born on April 1, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Marion Wallace and Mary Robinson, his grandparents George and Christine Smith, sister JoAnn Cox, and brothers Danny and James Wallace.
Otis was a free-spirited, adventurous man with a life-long love affair with sweets. He was a very talented craftsman and carpenter with a love of fishing and playing the game of chance. His wit, charm, and great sense of humor could lighten any situation. For the last four months of his life he allowed his children to care for him. During this time he was given love, safety, and forgiveness and left this world with his daughters by his side. The Grace that we received from God to make amends will forever change the fabric of our souls.
He is survived by his two daughters Amanda Owens and husband Harlan Owens of Sherman, Texas, and April Anderson and husband Richard Anderson of Denison, Texas. His sister Louise Allmon of Itasca, Texas, and brother Dean Wallace. His grandchildren, Avery Jones, Nathan Jones, Nolan Guidroz, Quinn Owens, and Ella Owens of Sherman, Texas. And many loved nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 231 in Pottsboro, Lake Texoma Chapter on Saturday July 20, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
