Roy Junior Oliver, age 73 years, passed away at Avir Memorial Nursing Home in Denison, TX on Friday, October 16, 2026.
Roy was an only child born on September 8, 1953, at Perrin Field, Denison, TX to General Junior Oliver and Trella (Landmon) Oliver. At the young age of 8 he went to live with his grandparents, Roy and Beulah Landmon. He attended schools in the Denison district. Roy entered the military at the age of 17 and served in the U. S. Roy had many cousins he played with growing up and was known to his family as "Jinx". He was especially close to his cousins, Dr. Fred Clark and Tammie McCraw. Roy was very close to his Aunt Sue Landmon. He and his Aunt Sue were more like sister and brother.
Roy was happily married for 29 years to Kimberly Ann Burkhart. They were married in Van Buren, Arkansas on June 20, 1997l
Roy also known as "Papa" to his grandchildren had many stories to tell. His grandson Christian would sit and talk with him for hours and listen to the many stories. Christian took special care of his "Papa" while he was sick as did daughter Kasee and granddaughter Mari.
