Rose Irene Nichols

July 25, 1930 - March 26, 2026

Rose Irene Nichols, 95, passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and resilience that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Rose was born on July 25, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, to John Bullock and Jennie Whitter Bullock. She spent much of her youth in East Texas, where she made treasured memories with her family, memories she would later share often through her wonderful storytelling.

She attended Abilene Christian College. In 1950 she married R.B. Nichols, together they built a life centered on faith and family, raising two children.  After his passing Rose married Robert Bell in 1996. They enjoyed14 years together.

Rose had a gift for conversation and connection. She loved to talk, and she always had a story to tell, stories filled with humor, wisdom, and heart. She loved God cherished her family, and found joy in life's little thing, including anything that sparkled and shined.

Even through life's greatest hardships, including the loss of loved ones, Rose remained a woman of strength and gratitude. She often spoke of how blessed she was and carried a smile that reflected her unwavering faith.

She is survived by her grandson, Zachary Durbin and his wife Katie of Umatilla, Florida, and her daughter-in-law, Larissa Nichols of Sherman, Texas.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, her daughter, Nancy Nichols, her son, Blake Nichols, her brother, Joe Bullock, and her sister, Nell Bohannon.

A celebration of life service will be held at Victory Life Church in Sherman, Texas on April 2 at 10:00 AM. Pastor Terry Brown will be officiating. Victory life is located at 4100 North Travis St. Sherman, Texas 75092
