Obituary

Ronny B. Warren
May 4, 1943 — July 3, 2025

Born to Bissel and Ida (Smith) Warren on May 4, 1943, in Grandview, AR, Ronny grew up on the family dairy farm alongside
his siblings, Bill and Joy.

The son of a dairy farmer, Ronny never had to endure the hard work of dairy farming, thanks to his mother and big sister. It's
been said that he would make sure he never quite milked the cows right so that his Mama would release him from milking
duties.

On November 30, 1964, Ronny traded the herd of cattle for a family, marrying Margaret Woolsey and becoming Daddy to
Jack, Eva, John, Brian, and René.

Quickly getting the hang of this family thing, the couple added Brett, Mitzi, and Deion to their rowdy bunch. As a truck driver
of 50 years, he spent most of his time on the road, but when he was home, he was present with those he loved: sharing
stories, quipping off a zinger, and (in his early years) singing tunes about Cindy's big ol' arms. He had a way of connecting
with his large family on an individual basis that could make each member feel known and loved.

He was the kind of daddy who didn't have much to give, but felt a little retail therapy never hurt anyone. He believed a
daughter's broken heart could be mended with a warm hug and some shopping money — and that the best way to spend
unexpected cash was a Father-Son boot-buying spree. He wasn't a perfect Dad, but he was the kind who loved all of his
kids as his own and spent his life being the daddy that he didn't have to be.

With a spirit built to roam, he led the family on journeys through California, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, eventually
settling in Texas. Along the way, 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren were added
to the Warren Legacy.

He was the kind of Grandpa who showed you the country from the cab of his 18-wheeler, pulled up to your birthday party on
his motorcycle, kept you laughing each time you saw him, challenged you with a quick-witted comeback, and wrapped you
up in a Joop-scented hug that lingered long after you said goodbye.

In addition to his own grandchildren, he was the unofficial Grandpa to all the kids at church.

In the same way he took five children in as his own, he treated everyone he met as family, welcoming them with open arms.
To know him was to love him. He was everyone's Pop.

Next to his family, he loved exploring the open roads of this beautiful country, with his favorite being the wide-open desert
terrain. For him, trucking was never just a career— it was a declaration of freedom, a way to roam wide and wild, unpenned
and unbound. He was the kind of truck driver who took pride in his profession with a clean truck, shiny boots, and a stiffly
shaped hat. He knew the highways and byways of America like the back of his hand, and in recent years, traded truck
driving for leisure-riding trips with family. Whether in a side-by-side with Hiney, navigating the treacherous terrain of
Colorado, or cruising on a motorcycle with his sons through the black hills of South Dakota, he was happiest with the wind
in his hair, God above him, the rumble of a motor below him, the open road in front of him, and family surrounding him.

After a recent diagnosis of liver failure, Ronny passed away on July 3, 2025, peacefully surrounded by loved ones in his
home. He spent his last days surrounded by family, cracking jokes, sharing memories, showing off his new boots, and being
ornery with that mischievous twinkle in his crystal-blue eyes.
Ronny, a cherished member of New Life Apostolic Church, was baptized in 1984 and devoted his life to the Lord, serving
with unwavering faith. He loved Jesus, his family, adventure, and laughter. Though he may not have had riches in gold, he
left a legacy overflowing with love.
