Robert Earl
Tubb
Feb 27, 1949 — Nov 21, 2025
Sherman
Robert Earl Tubb, age 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2025 at Baylor Scott White Medical City, Plano, TX.
He was born February 27, 1949 to Archie and Thelma Tubb. He married Marie Carver in 1967 and they had one daughter, Cindy Michelle, on June 28, 1968. At that time, he worked for the City of Dallas in the Public Works Department. Shortly thereafter, Robert went to work for Morgan Mistletoe as a City Truck Driver. They did divorce later, and Robert met Brenda Choate and they were married on August 4, 1973.
Robert began embarking on a new career—welding. He always said he learned from one of the best welders in the world— his father-in-law, who later Robert nicknamed Daddy-O; they even worked on numerous jobs together, both in the states and overseas.
Although he loved welding, Robert's main interests were Brenda and their two daughters, Coty Amber and Kirby Ashley as well as his 4 granddaughters —Manhattan (13) Chamberlain (6) Bentley (8) and Harley (4). He called them—his pride and joy. He loved it when he and Manhattan would go out and play a round of golf when their schedules allowed it, and he would brag to everyone on how good she was getting. The other grand girls—he just loved being called PawPaw and get all those sugary kisses and bear hugs from each one of them. That always made him smile like he had won a National Golf Tournament.
Last but not least, he and Brenda spent a lot of special times together. Upon his death, they both worked part time at Lowe's and loved talking with the customers and helping them with their purchases.
Robert is survived by his wife, 3 daughters, 4 grand girls and one sister, Louise of Texas, as well as many friends and family members. He will be deeply missed—he had a great wit and always tagged his friends with a nickname.
