Norita "Rita" Hardy, 89, of Denison, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Rita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Hardy; her parents, James and Minnie Stephens; her brothers, Bob, Steve, and Jimmy Stephens; and her sister, Jessie Thompson.

She is lovingly survived by her sons, Ray Hardy and spouse Wanda, and Kelly Hardy; her brother, Danny Stephens; her sister, Sherry Stephens Pate; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Rita was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Denison. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and she found great joy in her church family. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, her caring heart, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. Her quiet strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering love leave a legacy that will continue through the generations of her family.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
