Mary Frances
Redfearn
Jun 8, 1941 — May 31, 2024
Collinsville
John 11:25-26, "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die."
Mary Redfearn peacefully passed away on Friday, May 31st, 2024, at Medical City in McKinney. She was surrounded by her family as she left this world and entered into the presence of our LORD.
Mary Arrington was a graduate of Denton High School. She married Billy Redfearn on June 6th, 1959. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us at the age of 82. She dearly loved her family.
Despite her physical limitations and health struggles over the course of the last 20 years, Mary had a servant's heart, loved making food, "doing" for others, and was an avid gardener. To say she had a green thumb was an understatement. Gardening was her passion. In her final days leading up to becoming ill, she could be found reading her Bible much of the time. She has shared Christ with each grandchild, great-grandchild, and other little ones who have entered her home. Her faith in Christ Jesus was simplistic, but undeniable when she spoke about Him to these dear little children.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, N.H. Arrington and Aline Arrington, her infant son, Russell Redfearn, and her sister, Betty Wilson.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Billy Redfearn of Collinsville, children, Danny Redfearn, and his wife Debbie of Aubrey, TX, Sharon Nelson, and her husband, Kery Nelson of Whitesboro, grandchildren, Dan Redfearn (wife, Britni) of Collinsville, Kyle Redfearn (wife, Jessie) of Whitesboro, and Morgan Nelson of Whitesboro, great-grandchildren, Kade, Quincy, Jett, Walker, Kasen, Wyatt, and Jess. Her sister, Barbara Dotson of Denton, and many nieces and nephews. Each one of these people held a special place in Mary's heart.
A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church of Krugerville, 5021 US-377, Aubrey, TX 76227, on Saturday, June 15th. 2:00 P.M. with visitation one hour prior to service, 1:00 P.M.
Flowers and cards can be sent to the home of Billy Redfearn.
