Mary Sue Medell Gleason passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Palamino  Rehab in Mesquite, TX.  She was born on August 11, 1953 in Durant, OK to R.D. Medell and Bertha (Brackett) Medell. She was a High School graduate and also attended college.  Mary has resided in Mesquite, TX most of her life.  She worked as a Legal Secretary for the last 52 years.  She was a caring, loving mother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her son; John Gleason of Houston, TX, sisters; Jackie Grounds and husband Gene of Bennington, OK, Lou Mitchell of Durant, OK, Mickey Durant of Oklahoma City, OK her brothers; Bob Rich, Jabo Rich and wife Nancy, all of Combine, TX, Charles Rich and wife Pam of Durant, OK,  numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; R.D. and Bertha Medell and her sister; Kay Donna Lamar.

The family will announce a date for a memorial service.
