Martha Ann (Marthann) Bazemore Fridley was born on July 13,1937 in Caro, Nacogdoches County, TX to Jack Bazemore and Lois Winder Bazemore and went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 22, 2025 after a battle with congestive heart failure and several light strokes. Marthann was 87 years old and passed into Heaven from her new home at Fairhaven Denton, after living a full life in Pottsboro, TX for 49 years with her husband of 63 years, Larry Vernon Fridley.

Marthann attended Mauriceville ISD schools from 1st grade all the way through her senior year graduating in 1955 from Mauriceville High School where she was an excellent student, member of the annual staff, a member of the girls choir, vice president of her class, drama club member and Co-Captain of her basketball team of which she was a member all  four years.

Marthann then went to work as a secretary for Sabine Supply Company in Orange, TX from 1955-1961. After that she moved to Dallas and worked at Gates Rubber Company from 1961-1976.

Marthann met Larry while he was serving  his nation in the US Air Force, at a USO function in Dallas, Texas and they soon married on December21, 1963. After Larry's discharge, he and Marthann made their home in Dallas where they worked and lived until 1976 when they moved to Pottsboro, Texas. She then went to work for Pottsboro ISD first as an Elementary School Classroom Aide then as the High School Secretary for the last 15 years of her tenure at PISD until she retired in May of 2002. She loved her years in the district serving and loving the students, teachers and administrators.  After retirement Marthann spent her time serving as a volunteer at the Red Cross and the Resale Barn until she had to quit and take care of Larry as his health declined until his death in November of 2024.

Marthann was preceded in death by her grandparents William F.
