Marijon L. Brackett, age 75, peacefully passed away Friday, May 16, 2025 under the care of Denison Nursing and Rehab along with Hospice Plus, Denison, Texas. Marijon was born on January 28, 1950 in Bonham, Texas to John Edward (J.E.) and Wanda (Ervin) Lewallen, Yuba, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Yuba High School in 1968 and married. With her husband serving in the military, Marijon worked in several office capacities while living in several states, (Georgia, California, Louisiana and Texas.  After moving to Texas she remained there the remainder of her life.

Marijon was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her son; Doyle G. Brackett Jr.

Marijon is survived by her son; Michael Shane Brackett, two sisters; Linda Staton of Yuba, Oklahoma and Janice Stone (Johnnie) of Emory, Texas. She also has several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Denison Nursing and Rehab and the nurses of Hospice Plus for the exceptional care given to their loved one during her illness.

Graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery, Durant, OK on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 11:00 A.M. with Richard Gage officiating.

A friend and family visitation will be held at the Pavilion prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.  The family has requested no flowers.
