Lynn Edwin Russell, 68 years of age, passed into the arms of Jesus and his beloved Mother on the night of December 25th at TMC, ICU department at 10 pm. His wife, Sherri at his side.

Lynn was born January 7, 1956 in Burlington, Iowa. He was 12 years younger than his brother. His mother and father have passed on.

Lynn graduated from Burlington High School in 1974. He graduated from college at the University of Iowa with a bachelors in finance and a masters in Business Administration. He worked several years with HSBC banking corporation in automotive finance.

When Lynn came to reside in Denison after the closing of HSBC department in Lewisville, Texas in 2007. He later worked at Olive Garden until his retirement.

Lynn and Sherri met in Fort Worth in 2003 and married on New Years Eve in 2009. They worked and restored the Bledsoe Victorian home built in 1900 on Chestnut street. This home was his pride and joy. He took off two years to restore.

Lynn enjoyed auctions, flea-markets and finding antiques. He loved Victorian Depression glass and vintage pottery. He had a great knowledge of glass and antiques. He loved spending time with family and meeting his friends at Golden Corral.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and grand parents. His father-in-law, Jerry Jillson in 1996 and his mother-in-law, Joyce Conklin in 2022. Lynn leaves to enter heaven's gates to be reunited with his mother whom he loved so much.

Lynn is survived by his wife and best friend, Sherri Jillson Russell, married for 15 years and together for 22 years.  His step-daughter, Andrea Putman Mitchell and husband, Sam. Grand daughter, Paisley. Brother-in-law James B. Jillson and wife Callie.

Our celebration of life for Lynn will be held in the spring when we plant a tree in his memory and dinner at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DAWG animal shelter in Lynn's name, 3307 South Eisenhower Parkway, Denison, Texas.
