Lynda Kay Shaw, loving and devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home in Denison, Texas, on September 25, 2025. She was 78 years old.

​Lynda was born on August 30, 1947, in Paris, Texas, to Ed and Estelle Thomasson. Her family later moved to Lubbock, Texas, where she attended school and graduated. Lynda dedicated many years to public service, working in administration for both the Savoy School and the City of Savoy, where she was known for her diligence and warm demeanor.

​More than anything, Lynda loved her family. She was immensely close with her only son, Bryant Childers, and cherished every moment spent with him and her grandchildren. She was a woman of simple pleasures, enjoying crocheting and various crafts, but her true legacy lies in the profound warmth and generosity of spirit she extended to everyone she met.
​Lynda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jon Shaw; her mother, Estelle Thomasson; her father, Ed Thomasson; and her brother, Eddie Thomasson.

​She is survived by her devoted son, Bryant Childers; her grandchildren, Madison Johnson (Spencer Johnson), Dillon Campbell (Vee Blanton), and Regan Bump; and her four precious great-grandchildren, Emberlynn, Harper, William, and Ellie. Lynda will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Lynda's celebration of life will be held on Tuesday October 7th, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church 300 W Acheson St, in Denison, TX.
