Lorraine Duarte Polley, 84, of Little Elm, Texas passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, December 13th, 2024. Lorraine was the second youngest of 6 siblings, born on July 9th, 1940 to Antonio and Alice Duarte in Fresno, California. Her family moved to a dairy farm in Nehalem, Oregon where she was raised and later graduated high school. In Oregon, Lorraine also met her husband Floyd Polley. They wed on January 1st, 1960 and relocated to Little Elm, Texas in 1969. Floyd preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage.

Lorraine was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Tony and Tom, and two grandsons, Jeffrey Polley and Timothy Brown. She is survived by her three sisters, Alice Sissick, Adeline Johansen, and Arlene Buck of Oregon; her children, Paul Polley of Valley View, Teresa McLeod and husband Greg of Little Elm, Sharon Lynne of Gunter, Doug Polley of Calera, Oklahoma, Jeff Polley and wife Veronica of Collinsville, Angela Faith Brown and husband Tevin of Sherman, Mike Polley and wife Judi of Oregon, and Vicki Toedtemeier and husband Guy of Oregon, Tabatha Polley of Collinsville, and Tiffany Mitchell Polley; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lorraine loved her family and loved to fish. She was a strong woman that survived numerous hardships that never deterred her from taking care of everyone around her. She will be remembered as a dedicated mother and a loving grandmother.

A come and go celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, January 12th, 2025 at the Brenda Mills Senior Center located at 301 Main St. Little Elm, Texas from 11 am to 2 pm. Flowers may be sent to 1013 Round Up Trail, Little Elm, TX 75068.
