Lonnie Clyde Jones, age 80, of Celina, TX, passed away peacefully, at his residence, with his family near, on Wednesday, June 07, 2023.  Lonnie was born on May 10, 1943 in Dodd City, TX to Walter Jones and Lillian (Springer) Jones.  He was a High School graduate and formerly worked in transportation as a truck driver. He married Patsy Weger of Colbert, OK.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Patsy Jones of Celina, TX, his son; Mark Payne & Beth of Lake Kiowa, TX, his daughter; Ronda Roberts and Paul Gregory of Prosper, TX, his sister; Bennie Martin of Newton, TX, brother; Thomas Jones of Tom Bean, TX, five grandchildren; Hannah Castiblanco, Karen Castiblanco, Heather "Gracie" Roberts, Michelle Perkinson, Megan Hickerson, six great-grandchildren; Hazley, Hansen, Holden, Eden, Colter, Grady, a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter & Lillian Jones, three sisters; Wanda Calhoun, Margie Fromm, Lorene Barron and his infant daughter; Alonda Jones.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 10, 2023, 2:00 P.M. at American Funeral Service Chapel, Denison, TX with Eddie Prince and Lonnie Ashlock officiating.  Interment will be at Garden of Memory Cemetery, Colbert, OK.  Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Gregory, Mark Payne, Paul Jones and Lonnie Ashlock.

Family and friends visitation will be Friday, June 9, 2023, 6 – 8 p.m. at American Funeral Service, Denison, TX.
