Obituary

Linda Kay Blackshear Still, a loving mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on September 23, 1958, in Denison, Texas, to William and Mable Blackshear, Linda dedicated her life to her family. She will forever be remembered for her kindness and compassion, her strong will, and her loving, selfless spirit.

She is survived by her children, Amanda and Derek Geesling, and Michelle and Jay Beer; her grandchildren, Cole and Kayley Geesling, Clay Geesling, and Carson Beer; and her great‑grandson, Brody Geesling. She is also survived by her dad, Leroy Smith, and his wife, Retha; her brothers, Bill Blackshear, Glen Blackshear and wife Kelly, Danny Blackshear and wife Donna, and Mike Blackshear and wife Cathy; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mable; her father, William; her sister, Sara; and her brother, Sid.

Linda lived her life according to 1 Corinthians 13:4–7:

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.

It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

Her life was a testament to that love, and her legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.
