Lester Herbert Thompson, age 96, of Pottsboro, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025.

Funeral services for Mr. Thompson will be held at American Funeral Services on Friday, November 21, 2025. Burial will follow at Callisburg Cemetery.

Lester Herbert Thompson was born on May 3, 1929. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Lester was a real go-getter, full of grit and determination, and ornery as all get out, the kind of man who could make you laugh, challenge you, and keep life interesting. He loved talking about history and sharing stories from his long, full life.

Lester was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Corine Bernice Thompson, whom he loved deeply. Her memory remained close to his heart throughout the years.

He is survived by his son, Charles Thompson his granddaughters, Nicole Rose Rivers Thompson and Peyton Corine Thompson; and his grandson, Triston Charles Thompson and daughter in law Jennifer Gamez.
