Lane Thomas Tharp, age 20, of Savoy, TX, passed away in a four wheeler accident on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Lane was born on March 19, 2004 in Sherman, TX to Rodney and Ashley Tharp. Lane graduated high school from Denison High School and was a Hydraulic Technician at Acme Auto Parts.

Lane loved spending his time outdoors and with his family and friends. He always was happiest when he was with his son, Weston. Lane was known for working hard, his kind heart and infectious smile. Lane enjoyed fishing, mowing yards, camping, riding his dirt bike and four wheeler.

Left to cherish his memory is his son Weston Ross, parents, Rodney and Ashley Tharp, grandparents, Oliver and Beverly Bush, sister, Stephanie Stockton, brother in law, Zach Stockton, aunts, Amyee McAlister, Susan Burkham, Amber Tharp, uncles, Josh Tharp, Kyle McAlister, Brian Burkham, Aaron Bush, cousins, Dakota McAlister, Kylee McAlister, Shawn Marquez, Brittany Amos, Clay Baula, Hunter Baula, Bailey Cole, Abigail Moser, nieces, Caroline and Olivia Stockton, and his dog, Bruno. Preceded in death by his grandparents Roger and Barbara Tharp, and uncle Thomas Fortner.

Lane will be missed so dearly by so many. He now rests in a place of peace and comfort.

The family invites those who knew Lane to join them in commemorating his life. A family gathering will be held on May 16, 2024 from 6-7 PM at American Funeral Services located at 4312 W Crawford St, Denison, TX 75020. The funeral will be held on May 17, 2024 at 2 PM at Calvary Baptist Church located at 300 W Acheson St, Denison, TX 75020. Lane will be laid to rest at Cherry Mound Cemetery in Denison, TX.

Pallbearers are Zach Stockton, Aaron Bush, Ty Eldridge, Dakota Buttrill, Johnathan Gorden, Kyle McAlister and Brian Burkham. Honorary Pallbearers are Josh Tharp, Shawn Marquez and David Moser.
