Karla Marie Kennedy, age 65, of Denison, TX, peacefully passed away at her residence on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.  Karla was born December 22, 1957 in Gainesville, TX to Kenneth Scoggin and Mary (Kays) Scoggin.  She was a High School graduate and also attended college. She married James Kennedy on December 17, 1974. Karla was employed in health care and also was a bus driver for the school. Karla had a love for teaching and enjoyed teaching Sunday school to the children.  Her interest in hobbies and crafts kept her busy making something to give to her family or friends.  Karla always had a smile to greet everyone she met and never met a stranger.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband; James Kennedy of Denison, TX, her two sons; James Elton Kennedy JR & Temi of Thackerville, OK, William Carl Kennedy of Okmulgee, OK, her sister; Darlene Kuhn & Robert of Valley View, TX, her two brothers; Marshall Scoggin & Cindy of Valley View, TX and Brent Scoggin of Valley View, TX, three grandchildren; Megan, Emma, Colton, numerous nephews and nieces, other extended family and great friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Kenneth and Mary Scoggin.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 6, 2024, 10:00 A.M. at Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 Morton ST. Denison, TX with Pastor Josh Jackson officiating and special speaker, Mike Holster.
