Joseph Atlas Barnett, age 81, of McKinney, TX, peacefully passed away at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.  Joseph was born on August 11, 1943 in Abilene, TX to Richard Edward Barnett and Lillie Claude (Barnes) Barnett.  He was a high school graduate with also attended college.  He married Vicki Barnett and formerly was employed in construction as and electrical contractor.  He proudly served his country in the United States Marine's.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Vicki Barnett of McKinney, TX, two children; Melinda Barnett of McKinney, TX, and Michael L. Barnett of Arlington, TX, one grandchild; Jordan Barnett, other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lillie Barnett.
