Johnny Wayne
Carney
Sep 18, 1968 — Nov 4, 2024
Denison
Johnny Carney, 56, of Denison, passed away on November 4, 2024. He was born on September 18, 1968, to parents Danny and Peggy (Interwicz) Carney. He was raised most of his upbringing in Greenville, TX. He entered the United States Navy after high school where he was a Nuclear Weapons Technician. After leaving the Navy, he worked many years in commercial construction with his dad traveling the country. A freak accident while on a jobsite in Pennsylvania caused Johnny to have to find another career path. This is how he found his love of computers. Johnny was truly gifted when it came to his knowledge of computers. He worked his way up to head of the IT department at Exxon Mobil in Dallas. When they moved their headquarters, he decided to open his own computer repair business. He loved working on his clients' computers and being able to breathe life back into a computer that was considered to be unsalvageable.
Anyone who knew Johnny, understood that he considered his greatest accomplishment in his life to be his daughter, Emily. Anytime you had a conversation with Johnny, you also got to hear about Emily. Johnny is survived by his daughter, his Cocoa-Pop, Emily Carney. He is also survived by his father, Danny Carney and sisters. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Johhny was Irish and his favorite holiday was St. Patrick's Day. He also hated funerals. Because of this, Emily is hosting an Irish Celebration of Life to honor her Dad on Sunday, March 16, 2025, starting at noon. Come have some beer, BBQ, play some games and share your favorite stories of Johnny with Emily. DM Emily Carney for the address
