Joann Reynolds, 77, passed peacefully on December 16, 2025, in Sherman, Texas. She was born on July 12, 1948, in Dodge City, Kansas, to John and Rose Trent, and was their only child.

On December 31, 1966, Joann married the love of her life, Stanley Reynolds. Together they built a warm and loving home centered on family, care, and devotion to others. Joann was a homemaker for many years and ran an in-home daycare, lovingly caring for countless children. One summer, her daughter fondly recalls Joann feeding and caring for as many as 17 children a day, in shifts.

Joann graduated from Dodge City High School in 1966.  In 1990, Joann began working at the Walmart in Garden City, Kansas, where she remained a dedicated employee for 25 years until her retirement in 2015. After retiring, she moved to Texas to be closer to her daughter and beloved granddaughters.

Joann found her greatest joy in time spent with family and in cherished annual trips to the beaches of Destin, Florida, a place that always felt like home to her.

She was the proud mother of Wade Alan Reynolds and Christy Adele Reynolds. She is survived by her daughter, Christy Reynolds; granddaughters Kelsey Evins (Kyle Evins) and Mackenzie Reynolds; and great-grandsons Kalvin Hayes Evins and Kyler Stanley Evins.

Joann was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Reynolds; her son, Wade Alan Reynolds; and her parents, John and Rose Trent.

She will be cremated, and no services will be held. Her ashes will be spread at a later date in Destin, Florida, her favorite place.
