Jan Alison Abel, age 66, of Whitesboro, TX, passed away peacefully at Texoma Health Care Center, Sherman, TX on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Jan was born on September 11, 1957 in Gladewater, TX to James Lee Farmer SR and Betty (Roberts) Farmer. She was a High School graduate and a wonderful housewife to her family.   She proudly served her country in the United States Navy.  She will be greatly missed by her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her children; Devin Abel of Washington State and Jordan Abel of Washington State, her three brothers; Thomas Farmer of Ft. Worth, TX, Jon Farmer of Whitehouse, TX, Mike Farmer of Whitesboro, TX and two grandchildren, other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; James and Betty Farmer SR, her brother; James Lee Farmer Jr and her infant sister; Kelly Jonelle Farmer.
