James Wilfried Fetz, age 84, passed away peacefully at his residence in Van Alstyne, TX.  James was born on March 19, 1938 in Elwood, Indiana to James Monroe Fetz and Lois Jeanette McCarty Fetz.  He was a High School graduate and attended college.  He formerly worked as a machinist.

He  loved his family.   He was a strong christian and shared Jesus with everyone he could. spent much time reading the Bible & in prayer.  He loved chocolate and mexican food.  He loved riding his 89 Gold Wing Motorcycle everyday to work in Richardson and every chance he could until he could no longer ride and sold it. He truly was loved and will be missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Sondra Fetz of Van Alstyne, TX, his children; Paula Fuzzell & David of Lone Oak, TX, Karin Fetz of Greenville, TX, Michael Fetz & Irma of Roanoak, VA, James Andrew Feta & Brandy of Van Alstyne, TX, his three sisters; Rita Allen & Wayne of Arizona, Barbara Smith & Mike of Arizona, Theresa Sanchez & Javire of Arizona, seven brothers;  Kevin Fetz & Sharon of Arizona, Tony Fetz & Hazel of Colorado, Mark Fetz & Janet of Indiana, Terry Fetz of Indiana, Jeff Fetz & Rose of Indiana, Pat Fetz & Kathy of Indiana, Tim Fetz & Tammie of Georgia,  six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, other extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Monroe & Lois Fetz, his sister; Janice Fetz, his son; Justin M. Fetz,

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, 1:00 P.M. at Graywood Height Church, Sandford Dr, Van Alstyne, TX with Pastor Lance Baker officiating.
