Frances Irene Troth, age 78, of Sherman, TX, passed away peacefully at her residence, with her family near, on Sunday, September 3, 2023.  She was born on October 21, 1944 in Dallas, TX to Harold Abernathy and Willie (Holley) Abernathy.  She was a High School graduate and formerly was employed at Freed's , selling furniture, modeling and as an interior decorator.  She had many hobbies; needlepoint, crafts, poetry, gardening and  jigsaw puzzles.  She loved her pepsi's and her fur babies.

Frances, fondly known as "Granny Fanny" was sassy, stylish and always fashionably late.  Her fierce attitude matched her firey red hair.  You couldn't help but laugh when she did.  She was greatly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her children; Kim Arnold & spouse Lyn Arnold of Whitesboro, TX, and Christie Davey & Spouse Dennis Davey of Sherman, TX, her grandchildren; Shae Yamrus, Chelsea Steele, Justin Davey, Austin Arnold, Cole Davey, great-grandchildren; Stone Yamrus, Harper Yamrus, Willow Davey, Madelyn Steele, other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Harold and Willie Abernathy, brother; Harold "Gene"Abernathy and her husband; Loyson Gary Troth.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 06, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Odd Fellow Cemetery, Quinlin, TX with Pastor Jimmy Davis officiating.  Interment will follow.  Pallbearers will be Justin Davey, Cole Davey, Austin Arnold, Mark Abernathy, Aaron Abernathy and Andrew Steele.

Family and friends visitation will be Tuesday, September 05, 2023, 6 – 8 p.m. at American Funeral Service.
