Forrest Wayne Thomas Jr, age 79, of Sherman, TX, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family near, on Friday, October 13, 2023. Forrest was born on October 21, 1943 in McKinney, TX to Forrest Wayne Thomas SR and Minnie Mae (Shurbine) Thomas.  He was a graduate of High School and proudly served his country in law enforcement as a policeman.  He married Sherry PoPham, who survives him.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Sherry Thomas of Sherman, TX, his niece; Brenda Johnson & Johnny of Greenville, TX, his two sisters; Janice Solomon of Ardmore, OK, and Deloris Gann of Dallas, TX, other extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother; William Thomas and sisters; Wanda Elliott, Dorothy Flatt, Margaret Patterson, Patricia Thomas and Judy  Johnson..

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 17, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at American Funeral Service Chapel, Denison, TX with Pastor Fred Voight officiating.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Cemetery, Allen, TX.  Family and friends visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 10 A.M.
