Eluid ((Rudy) Torres, 79 of Sherman, Texas passed away peacefully on April 18th, 2025 at Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman.   Born in Robstown, Texas, he was the sixth of eleven children born to Jose Torres Sr. and Olivia Vasquez Torres.

He and his family moved to North Texas and settled in the town of Celina, where he attended school.  After leaving school, he worked doing large commercial vehicle body repair, was an 18-wheeler driver for Chemtrade Logistics for several years and was also a talented landscaper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Eleazar Torres, Alonzo Torres, Saul (Suly) Torres and sisters Dalila (Lela) SanMiguel, Ayra Navarro and Odelia Lloyd.  He is survived by sister Hilda Lopez of McKinney, Texas and brothers Jose Torres Jr. of Garland, Texas, Porfilio(Filio) Torres of Van Alstyne, Texas, David Torres of Plano, Texas along with many friends and acquaintances.

As we bid farewell, let us carry forward the love he had for his family and remember his laughable shenanigans, such as using the word "BAM" in so many "lively" conversations.

Although no longer be with us in body, his spirit will echo in our hearts, reminding us to cherish each moment and hold tight to the bonds of family.
