Eddie Ray Cannon, 80, of Whitesboro, Texas passed away on July 31, 2025, surrounded by his close family. Eddie was born on June 18, 1945, in Gainesville, Texas. Eddie was known for his love for cowboy movies.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Rene' and Harding Cannon of Collinsville and his wife Mary Cannon.

He is survived by his brother Jerry Cannon and his wife Mary-Nan Cannon. His sister Betty Harville and her husband Kent Harville as well as his twin sister Judy Woosley. His daughters Edie Renae Carpenter and her husband Brian Carpenter as well as T.J. Cannon-Elbert and Monty Elbert. His granddaughter Vanessa Ward and grandson Huxley Carpenter.

Eddie had a passion for fishing, playing dominos and being around those he cared about and loved. He loved to grow tomatoes and tend to his fruit trees as well as watch his grandkids play sports. He will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends but is home with his heavenly family.

Graveside services will be at the Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, Tx on August 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
