David Charles Rutledge, age 80, of Pottsboro, TX, passed away peacefully at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, TX on Thursday, August 10, 2023. David was born on May 20, 1943 in McKinney, TX to Ed Rutledge and Aline Rutledge.  He married Carol Williams, who survives him.  He formerly was employed in construction as a master plumber.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife; Carol Rutledge of Pottsboro, TX, his children; Beverly and Charles Rutledge & Shonda of Cooper, TX, his sister; Joy Sexton of PA, his six grandchildren other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Ed & Aline Rutledge, three brothers; Gerald, Dudley and Kenneth.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023, 10:00 A.M. at Georgetown Cemetery, Pottsboro, TX with Pastor Bill Schultz officiating.  Interment will follow.  Family and friends visitation will be Monday, August 14, 2023, 6 -7 P.M. at American Funeral Service, Denison, TX.
