David was born in Greenville, Texas

He loved camping, fishing and playing the slots. One thing he enjoyed the most was having his family all together. He was a man that would do anything for anyone including giving the shirt off his back. He had a "Heart of gold."

For the last 9 years he was a long-haul truck driver. With his side kick chihuahua Tassie Ann, those two were inseparable.
After he retired in April of 2025, he enjoyed riding his ATV around all the back roads where we lived.

David is survived by his life partner of nearly 36 years Kay Gilbreath and her son Kalub Nelms ( lottamo ).
Brother Randal Hudson and wife Virgina. 3 nieces Alisha,
Kristi and Erica. 1 Nephew Jake. 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews.

David is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Joann Hudson, sister Karen Hudson Davis, nephew Nichols Davis and his aunt
Patsy Ruth McCain.
