Darla, age 55, passed away due to injuries sustained in a car accident on April 14, 2023.

She was born June 10, 1967, in Denton Texas to Reverend Elvin and Mary (Roberts) Johnson who preceded her in death. Darla was also preceded in death by her niece, Mary Jo.

Darla attended Tioga and Collinsville schools, graduating from Gunter High School and pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree from Midwestern state.

Darla worked for Pilot Point Independent School district for 31 years. Her career at the school district spanned from the classroom to serving as a bus driver.

She was loyal to those she loved and would do anything for her friends and family, who loved her dearly in return. Being a keeper of human connections, maintaining lifelong friendships across distances and time.

We thank the Lord for you, Darla, and will cherish your memory.

She is survived by her son, Ethan (Erica) of Dallas Texas. A brother, Jerry (Tookie) Johnson of El Paso Texas, sisters: Shirley (Dewey) Butler of Grapevine, Texas, Deborah Johnson of Flower Mound, Texas, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends and others whose lives Darla has touched are invited to a Celebration of Life at Faith Tabernacle 1101 Audra Lane, Denton TX on Saturday May 6, 2023 at 1pm.
