Clarence
Sills
Nov 8, 1953 — Mar 1, 2025
Collinsville
Clarence "Clay" Adam Sills passed away on March 1st, 2025 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Nashville, NC on November 8th, 1953. Clay was 71 years old at the time of his passing.
Clay loved his family unconditionally. His proudest title was "grandaddy". His children and grandchildren were the light of his eyes. Aside from being a dad and grandaddy, he loved being a brother, an uncle and a friend. Although there were miles in between a lot of the time, his heart was always with the people he loved.
Clay was a truck driver by trade, and he loved to tell stories of his time on the road and the friends he made along the way. If you knew him as a truck driver, you knew him as "Hijacker". Christopher and Alli loved to climb up in the sleeper of his big rig and go to work with him. If he wasn't talking about driving, he was talking about fixing up his 1968 Ford Falcon also known as "Scooters Bird". His Falcon kept him on his toes and gave him purpose after his retirement from driving.
Clay is preceded in death by his son, Christopher "Sneaky Pete" Adam Sills, his mother and father, Carl and Janie Mae Sills and his brother Buddy Sills. He is survived by his daughter, Alli "Scooter" Paige Miller and her husband Robert Miller of Collinsville, TX. His grandchildren, Rhys and Rylan Miller and Willow "G" Sills. His siblings Dana Sills, Theresa Sills and James Sills. His nieces and nephews, Brandy Davis, Bert Brown, Jamie Sills, JJ Sills, Daniel Sills, Tonya Cooper, Nikki Johnson, and Terrell Batts and Little Buddy Sills.
