Cecile Louise Berkhan Ivey, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2026, surrounded by family.  She was born on December 20, 1942, in Albany, Georgia to Irvin Otis Berkhan, Sr. and Cecile Louise Lunsford Berkhan.  She was a Texas resident since 2012 but spent most of her adult life in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

After many accomplishments and forming many close friendships, she retired in 2003 from the Biostatistics and Information branch of the Centers for Disease Control as a computer programmer and IT Specialist.  She moved to Texas in 2012 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.

She loved puzzles, going to the beach with her best friend, and spending time with family. In her younger years, she was involved in church ministries to provide food during Thanksgiving and Christmas for those who didn't have quite enough.  Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and shopping for families in need.  By example, she encouraged her daughter to have a strong work ethic, compassion, and a love for Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Irvin 'Otis' Berkhan, Jr.  She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Austin) Trice; two grandchildren, Ashlyn and Riley; a niece, nephew and cousins.
