Obituary

Calvin Ray Riddels, born August 6, 1936 got his wings on April 8, 2026.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Louise Riddels: his sons, Gregory Calvin Riddels, Alan Ray Riddels, and Clint Randolph (Randy) Riddels; two grandsons, Gregory Calvin Riddels II and Kevin Andrew (Andy) Riddels; his sisters, Helen Lemoine and Alice Locklin; and his brother, Amos Wayne Riddels Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; his two daughters, Cindy Mitchell and Connie Bowman; his brother, Ervin Riddels; and his sister, Nell Huntsberger.

Calvin was a proud grandfather to 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy that will continue for generations.

As a younger man, he gave back to his community by coaching baseball and serving as a scout leader. He was also a devoted member of his church, serving as a deacon in the Baptist church. He cherished the time he spent with his family.  Calvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.  He shared his passion and knowledge with so many over the years, inspiring that same love in others.

Calvin believed in staying true to your word and lived his life with honesty, integrity, and strong values.

Calvin will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong faith, and the many lives he touched along the way.  His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
