Bobby Darrell Gerdes, 65, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in his home in the presence of his loving wife.

Bobby was born July 22, 1958 in Tulia, Texas. He was the son of Gary Dean Gerdes and Minnie Faye Gerdes.

Bobby was a hard worker and took care of his family. His career was propane delivery and he took great pride in keeping all of his customers happy.  He began at an early age fishing and enjoying the outdoors with his father and past that along to his children and nieces and nephews.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Dian Gerdes; his mother, Minnie Faye Gerdes, one loving daughter, Diana Spring Thompson, one sister, Cathy Dee Ann Gerdes Downtain and Donnie Snider of Pottsboro; eight beautiful grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Gary Dean Gerdes; his first wife,  Deborah Fowler Gerdes and his son, Bobby Jay Gerdes.

A celebration of Bobby's life will be held with graveside services at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Hagerman Cemetery, Pottsboro under the direction of American Funeral Services. Bobby's request is to have funeral attendees wear their favorite camouflage attire, his favorite color.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Grayson County Home Hospice in memory of Bobby, would be greatly appreciated.
