Billy Shawn Mullennix, age 52, of Denison, Texas was called to his eternal home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Shawn was born on March 11, 1971 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Billy Don and Catherine Yvonne (Scribner) Mullennix. He worked in the construction business alongside his father and grandfather for many years and he also bought and sold cars. Shawn had the gift of fixing anything and understood the mechanics of everything. He loved motorcycles and the lake life. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his mother; Kathy Self of Buncombe, OK, daughters; Christina Mullennix of Colorado and Mercedes Mullennix, sister; Christy Jaresh of Denison, TX, brother Cody Mullennix and wife Kelli of Whitesboro, TX, grandchildren; Autumn Mullennix and John Murphy Jr., other extended family and many friends.

Shawn was preceded in death by his father; Billy Don Mullennix in 2020.

Funeral service honoring Shawn will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at American Funeral Service Chapel, Denison, TX with Reverend Joe Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Sadler Cemetery, Sadler, TX. Family and friends visitation will be Monday, May 1, 2023, 6 – 8 p.m. at American Funeral Service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Jaresh, Austin Mullennix, Hunter Mullennix, Rio Zamora, Tommy Rhodes and Jason Morgan.
