Billie Marie Shasteen, age 89, of Denison, TX, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 22, 2023.

Billie was born on June 16, 1934 in Kingston, OK to Commie Reese and Jewel (Watterson) Reese.  She was Valedictorian of her high school class and attended Southeastern College. She formerly was employed by the Safeway Corp until her retirement.

Billie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. To her, family was everything.

Known by many as Mommom, she was a rare and remarkable woman who was gifted at making anyone feel at home. She was kind, generous, and enjoyed simple joys like her swing, a good book, or making someone's favorite meal. Her presence brought peace and comfort, and she was never short of patience or gentleness. Billie loved the Lord, and this was supremely evident in the way she lived her life and loved her family. Her selflessness and humility were a true inspiration and though she was quiet in nature, she was absolutely extraordinary.

A true blessing to all who knew her and the matriarch of her family, she will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Kathy Robertson & spouse Charlie of Denison, TX, Cheree Shasteen of Denison, TX, grandchildren; Zac Blount, Jessie Pearson & spouse Jacob, Whittney Richardson & spouse BJ, Cole Kimberling & spouse Heather, Kara Kimberling, great-grandchildren; Ky & Murphy Blount, Avery & Andi Pearson, Addyson & Case Kimberling, Iris Washington, Avrit & Adlai Richardson, and other extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Tommy A. Shasteen in 2013, her parents; Commie & Jewel Reese, brothers; Vaden, Lloyd, and Kenneth Reese.

Per her wishes, there will be a private family-only service held at a later date.
