Upon graduating from Durant High School, and being awarded Salutatorian of her class, Betty moved to Dallas, Texas to begin her journey into the business world.
Betty was originally employed at First Republic Bank in Dallas and then found employment at Maxson-Mahoney-Turner Insurance as a private secretary for a surety and bond executive. Craig and Betty built their Texoma lake home in 2013 and enjoyed years of peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. Betty cared deeply for the wildlife that inhabited their property.
The life they built together was just about perfect.
"Do not stand at my grave and weep,
Because I am not there.
I am the early bird song and the sun going down.
Do not stand at my grave, for I am not there;
But on the lake or in the woods with you,
Or above the campfire shining down.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there and I did not die.
I live on in all the memories we made"
