Arvil Gene McDaniel, age 89 years of Meade Oklahoma, passed away in Sherman Texas on Thursday, February 8th, 2024.  Gene was born August 20, 1934 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Everett and Anna Lucille (Pope) McDaniel.  Gene had a very important job in his life, raising four sons.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons and their families. Mark and Tammy McDaniel of Nevada, Texas; Scott and Marlia McDaniel of Durant, Oklahoma; Dr. Gene and Yen McDaniel of Springtown, Texas.  He leaves behind  eleven grandchildren who are Lisa Snapp; Lana VanZant; Dr. Connie Fiore; Dr. Courtney Stone; Hunter McDaniel; Hudson McDaniel; James McDaniel; Sutton McDaniel; Malayna McDaniel; Matthew McDaniel; and Jaden McDaniel Also leaving behind ten great grandchildren who are Balynn Snapp; Barett Snapp; Khloe VanZant; Jaxon VanZant; August McDaniel; Pippa McDaniel; Penelope Stone; Sophia Fiore; Salem McDaniel; and Declan McDaniel.   Along with his sisters Betty Perkins of Odessa, Texas and Barbara Rogers of Anacortes, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Everett and Lucille McDaniel, his brother Billy McDaniel, his sister Laverne Booten; wife Odena McDaniel; his son Kirk McDaniel, and ex wife Wendelene McDaniel.
