Aloaha Lynn Sheffield, age 68, of Denison, TX, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Aloaha was born on May 2, 1955 in Dallas, TX to Weldon McLaughlin and Wanda (Waskom) McLaughlin. She was a wonderful mother, sister and grandmother.

Aloaha was a fun-loving, eccentric, free spirit who enjoyed gardening, flowers and having a good time with family.  She had a deep appreciation for nature and of all its wonders.  Aloaha was a "wildflower" who lived life on a whim and loved with her soul.  She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

Left to cherish her memory is her children; Chad Jones & Donna of Bells, TX, Neil Sheffield of Richardson, TX, Amy Sweat & Craig Dunkin of Garland, TX, Amy Millington & Jeremy of Denton, TX, Ruth Ann Birkinshaw & Chris of Chicago, Ill, Tyler Sheffield & Liz of Houston, TX, her brother; Weldon McLaughlin of Wylie, TX, her ten grandchildren; Chad, Heather, Steele, Carmin, Lilly, Jonah, Nathaniel, Theo, Mina, James, other extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Roy Dennis Sheffield on November 22, 2021 and her parents; Weldon & Wanda McLaughlin.

A graveside service is at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX, 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.  Family and friends visitation is Tuesday, May 9, 2023, 6-8 p.m.
